World Environment Day 2026

World Environment Day Celebrated with the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For our Future”

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Spastic Society of Manipur organised a tree plantation programme at its campus. The event was graced by Shri W.Birahari Singh, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Manipur, who participated in the plantation drive with students disabilities.

The programme highlighted the importance of environmental  conservation and the collective responsibility of every citizen to protect and preserve nature for future generations. Students enthusiastically planted saplings across the campus, demonstrating their commitment to a greener and more sustainable environment.

Addressing the gathering Shri W.Birahari Singh emphasized the need for Inclusive participation in environmental initiatives and appreciated the efforts Spastic Society of Manipur in Empowering Children and Youth with Disabilities while promoting environmental awareness.

The tree plantation drive served as a meaningful reminder that every individual, regardless of ability, can contribute to building a healthier and greener planet.
